After breakfast, meet your private Egyptologist guide to begin your first full sightseeing day. Visit the iconic Pyramids of Giza—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—and stand before the legendary Great Sphinx. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the world’s first stone pyramid designed by Imhotep. Return to your hotel in Cairo.

Breakfast at the hotel, then explore the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world, showcasing over 100,000 artifacts including the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun. After lunch, visit the historic Citadel of Salah El-Din, followed by free time at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s most famous market. Overnight in Cairo.

Travel to Alexandria for a full-day guided tour. Visit the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Roman Amphitheatre, Pompey’s Pillar, and view Qaitbay Citadel from the outside. Lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Cairo in the evening.

Discover Cairo’s religious heritage with visits to Ibn Tulun Mosque, Sultan Hassan Mosque, and El Rifai Mosque. After lunch, continue to Coptic Cairo to see the Hanging Church, Church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga), and the historic Ben Ezra Synagogue. Return to your hotel for overnight.

After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Hurghada. Upon arrival, transfer to your Red Sea resort. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Explore the Valley of the Kings, including entry to King Tutankhamun’s tomb, visit Howard Carter House, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Transfer to your Nile Cruise ship for check-in and lunch. Evening entertainment onboard.

Visit the vast Karnak Temple Complex and the elegant Luxor Temple before sailing south toward Edfu. Relax onboard while enjoying Nile views.

Items that may incur extra costs during the trek include:

• Visa fees – Please refer to the Visa and Passport Information section for details.

• Any additional transportation you may require.

• Tipping for your guide and driver at the end of the trip.

• Costs resulting from unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather or flight cancellations, including extra hotel nights and meals.

We don’t charge a cancellation fee for tours canceled for “force majeure” reasons, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or other reasons. If the cancellation is due to personal or business reasons and we have already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

• All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as visiting inside the pyramids, the Museum where the Solar Boat is located in the pyramid area, or to enter the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
• If you wish to visit one or all of these areas, please contact us by email as soon as possible, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
