3 Days Bahariya Oasis and White Desert Safari Trip

Travel comfortably in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle as you head west toward Bahariya Oasis, the northernmost oasis in Egypt’s Western Desert, approximately a 4-hour drive from Cairo.

Upon arrival, you will explore the famous Golden Mummies Museum, one of Egypt’s most remarkable archaeological discoveries. This vast burial ground near Bahariya Oasis has revealed more than ten thousand mummies, including tombs belonging to nobles and rulers of the oasis from the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty. Among the highlights are the Tomb of Panentiu and the Temple of Alexander the Great, the only known temple dedicated to the Macedonian ruler in Egypt.

In 332 BC, Alexander the Great founded Alexandria and gained the loyalty of the Egyptians by honoring their ancient gods. The temple in Bahariya was dedicated to Amun-Re and Horus during his reign. You will also visit the Temple of Meftella, dedicated to Bes, the god of birth, joy, pleasure, and entertainment.

Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at Bahariya Oasis, followed by free time in the afternoon to relax at your hotel. Later, board a 4×4 Land Cruiser to reach the summit of the Black Mountain, where you will enjoy breathtaking sunset views overlooking the oasis.

After an early breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide and begin a full day of desert exploration. Your first stops include the Salt Lake, golden sand dunes, and the lush date palm groves that make Bahariya Oasis famous for its fertile fruit gardens.

Continue your adventure as you travel toward the White Desert, passing through the dramatic landscapes of the Black Desert. Explore El Marsoos Mountain, known for its volcanic formations covered with small black stones, and visit El Haize Valley, located about 50 km south of Bawiti, the main village of Bahariya Oasis.

Stop at Crystal Mountain to admire its sparkling quartz crystals, then continue to the stunning Valley of Agabat, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in Egypt.

Camping Time

Arrive at the White Desert, administratively part of Farafra Oasis, where an unforgettable camping experience awaits. Watch the sunset as the limestone and chalk formations glow under the final rays of the sun. In the evening, enjoy a freshly prepared barbecue dinner under a sky filled with stars.

We don’t charge a cancellation fee for tours canceled for “force majeure” reasons, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or other reasons. If the cancellation is due to personal or business reasons and we have already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

• All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as visiting inside the pyramids, the Museum where the Solar Boat is located in the pyramid area, or to enter the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
